The moist heat hit with a vengeance as I stepped outside from the air conditioned interior of the boat onto the promenade deck. The breakfast buffet had been splendid but now we were looking forward to go on the excursion we had booked, a walking tour of the old city of Cartagena, Colombia and I couldn't wait for the opportunity to do some street photography again. And I had come with a plan I hatched after the previous stopover in Falmouth, Jamaica had been somewhat disappointing due to the fact that I had come unprepared.
As I watched the "boat" being tied up at the dock another cruise ship, a 5 masted tall ship, had manoeuvred into its spot on the other side of the dock. Then it was time to disembark and get on one of the tour busses which took us to our destination.
This is the story of street photography and of experimentation in post processing. I will comment on the individual photos for the deeper insights.
